That Indian supervisor had been holding on to the account distribution again this month, for a whole week, since last Monday. I had told him that I need the distribution by Wednesday last week. He said no problem. By Thursday, he told me that he will send it to me soon. Friday, I was sick and nothing is on my desk on Monday morning. I can't find him the whole of Monday.
Finally I send him an email and copy my boss and the other boss that we may miss the due date for payment as we don't have the information we need to raise PR. By 8.14pm, he send out all the account distributions by email.
I really can't tolerate the way he just delay passing on information that I need to get my part of the work done. It is not that I don't give him time to go through the invoices, he had one whole week to do that but he just don't want to give it to me until I send an email out.
It had been going on for 2 months already. Except for one month when he is early, practically every month, I have to chase and chase, very soon, I can apply for any Accounts Receivable job posting because I am getting good at chasing for stuff. Should be good at chasing for payment too...hahaha....
Sigh.... was sick over the weekend again. Actually it is on Friday that I was not feeling well. Went to visit my doctor again. His comment, "You seems to have sensitive nose and throat."
Jasper got a slight cold also as he was sniffling away so he went to the doctor's with me. Both of us were taking medicine over the weekend so as to recover soon.
Sunday, Father's Day, went for steamboat dinner with my dad and family. Food is only passable but the kids have fun going for 2nd, 3rd and even 4th round, the amount of food that they took is not a lot so they can go for multiple rounds.
Went up to Jurong to visit James' parents as it had been a while since we last visited them. Joelle behave much better this time. No crying sessions at all but she was staring around all the time and staring at both her grandparents really hard.
We left when she starts to rub her eyes, a sign that she is getting sleepy. After we reached home, she didn't really want to sleep as yet. Took a while before she fell asleep.
My company is starting a salsa class. Taught by one of the employees to the rest of us.
Our secretary got a few of us to join the group and my supervisor was pulled into the class, he was on leave for two days.
The email sent out was very diplomatic... saying that due to popular demand, my supervisor, Greg's name was submitted.
He sent us a reply from home as....... "As I understand it, that involves me watching you girls dancing, and not actually participating...I hope you all have fun :-). Remind me to book you all into something when you're on leave too." As it turns out, we don't have enough guys for the class. Some of us girls may have to learn the moves meant for the guys.
Class is still not confirm as yet so it may just be cancel due to not enough participation.
Mum told me that Joelle is cutting her first tooth soon.
I felt her gums and sure enough, could feel the edge of the tooth pushing against the gum. No wonder she is getting cranky these days.
She is also starting to leopard crawl, using her arms and legs to move forward. Sometimes, I will move the toy just beyond her reach to that she work to reach it. Good exercise and she falls asleep faster when she is tired from all the exercise.
Will post her photos, lifting up her arms and legs as if she is free falling = parachuting. I call her the parachute girl when she does that, lifting up her arms and legs.
Korea won the match last night against Togo and was I happy.
Reason : My very first virgin bet on the World Cup matches.
As I have absolutely no idea on how to place the bet, I went up to the counter and told the lady that I want to place the bet that Korea win. Just that.... Korea win, I don't care by how many goals or whatnots, just win. Paid $5 for it and saw that if Korea were to win, my payout will be $8.75.
Last night, I was even more vocal than James when they miss a goal. I was miserable when Togo scored a goal. When they had a draw, I was cheering for Korea to score another goal, just one more goal because all it matters to me is that they win.
I can go collect my payout tonight...hahahaha.....
As we went and join a mini tour this time, we went to a chocolate factory/shop to get chocs at a much lower price and there are quite a few unique tastes that they carry. Like the one that I got, the filling is coconut coated with white chocolate.
Visited a leather factory and there are many branded leather goods there like Pierre Cardin, Balmain etc but no LVs. They make pieces that are one-off?? that means if you see that design there, that is the only one, they don't make copies of it. Mum was feeling one of the larger travelling bag, the leather is very soft and there is a lock on it but it cost at least RM 1,300. Too expensive and she told me not to bring card on this trip so I was like can see, can touch but cannot buy because I have only RM 200 with me. Why only RM 200? Because mum was saying that this is a short trip so don't need to bring too much cash.
Regret, regret, regret because I can't buy more chocolates, more titbits at the pasar malam and other little shops that the tour brought us too.
Anyway as she say, it is only a short trip so I will look forward to my Genting trip next week.
Took Bus 101 yesterday morning to get to my colleague's place to hitch a ride from her to office. This Bus 101, I shall call it 101 from now on, started off driving quite ok, at a steady pace but after it hits Upper Serangoon Road, it slows down considerably.
I can sort of feel that it is dragging on its gear and I was praying that it doesn't start to stop at the stops where there is no one, true enough, it started to pull into a bus stop even when nobody had rang the bell to get off nor is there anyone flagging it to stop. 101 just stop there, waited for a while before pulling out of the bay and drove on. It continue to drag its gear and crawl at a snail's pace all the way to the stop near the old Upper Serangoon Road Shopping Center and pull into the bus bay again.
Again, when there is nobody alighting or boarding the bus. I was really getting pissed because if you are early at reaching the interchange, you are early. Do you think that by stopping at every bus stop, some one will miraculously appear and board your bus???
101 finally continued at his snail's pace all the way to the interchange.
I remembered reading the reporting that polyclinics are charging the patients more due to the renovations that had been done to the polyclinics. If the buses are breaking down and needs extra maintenance and repairs, are we been indirectly charged higher fares to cover these extra maintenance and repairs? Then it is not fair to us because we are not the one who are driving the bus, please if you need to, charge your drivers for dragging on the gears and such, don't charge us higher fares due to the way they drive.
As it is 101 takes such a long time between buses to reach the bus stop and yet, the drivers are driving at a snail's pace just to keep to the timetable that they are set with. Are they given a set time to reach each bus stop? Even if that is the case, it is ridiculous for the bus to deliberately stop when there is no one at the bus stop.
Stupid 101, even though I was on time, I don't like the fact that you deliberately waste time just to keep to your timetable.
I dreamt of him again after a long time. The last time was about 2 or 3 years ago when I last dreamt of him.
Last night, I deamt that he was hugging me and I was asleep. I couldn't see his face clearly in all the dreams.
This time, he told me that he will not leave me, that he loved me, he was kissing me when I drew away and told him that he is too late. In the last dream before this, we were hugging each other when he asked me if I knew what I was doing. I replied that I don't know and I don't care.
My feelings then was that so long as we were together, I don't care what will happen. But I think he feels otherwise and he may have left me. I have not dreamt of hims since then.
I was wondering this morning when I am on my way to work if he is someone from perhaps one of my past lives? I felt that we were very much in love but something/someone is preventing us from being together.
Could it have been a Romeo and Juliet story from the past? I wonder....
Edited on June 13: James was asking me last night who is this dream lover is...but like I say, I can't even see his face, how will I know who heis, even if I know who he is, He is too late.....
It is really not that good to be sitting in front of your boss. I can't blog as and when I like, can't message other people as freely as before, can't just check things on the net that openly and a lot more.
I miss my little cubicle. Absolute privacy to do my stuff, play my music and just let the silence get to me at times.
Work had been busy most days now. Got more things to do and more to come in the coming months according to my boss. A lot of project work are lined up for the whole group but with the promise of a Beijing trip in the next six or eight months, I think it is worth it.
Anyway, I'll be off to Ipoh tomorrow and Friday. Back over the weekend. Time for a short break.
Was caught up in stuff over the weekend and a busy workweek this week + a case of insomia = TIRED....
Busy over the weekend, getting my facial done and going for my knitting class. Finishing my top soon and I have started on Jasper's piece. Waited for James to finished work before going back together.
Sunday, we went shopping at Hougang Mall. Took lunch there and bought 3 DVD series to watch. It will last us for another 2 months I suppose. Packed up all my magazines in the new magazine holders that I bought and cleared up the space at the table...(it is messy again last nite). Can't sleep till after 2+ in the morning but went to work on Monday.
Monday night, samething happen again. Couldn't sleep again. Called in and took leave, I need to SLEEP.... Went over to my aunt's place to collect dumplings for the dumplings festival on Wednesday. Started on Cheryl's top, knitting her a top because she is asking for one after seeing me knitting one for Jasper.
Wednesday back at work. Clearing up most of the stuff that came up on Tuesday. IT called to let me know that they are replacing my desktop on Thursday and it will take up to about 3 hours to get it up and running after transferring all the files and favourites of mine.
Finally, a new laptop... can get rid of this old bulky desktop... but according to the rest of my colleagues, it is a bother to bring it home and back. Some are locking their laptops up in the office and only bring it back over the weekend.
Have to go back up all my stuff before 9, don't want to lose any of my important links. It is very tedious to recall which links I have missed out and for links that I don't use often. I tend not to remember them.
