Busy, Busy...

Been busy with work and projects with completion deadline like in the mid of October. If your rating are based on when you are able to complete your projects, I really need to start closing them, putting a conclusion to the findings that I have found and a couple of recommendations will be good.

Recently, there is a opening over in the other team and my new Supervisor was telling me to give it a try. "No harm trying... if you get it, you will be moving up one grade easily" he was saying, but I also need a steep learning curve as there are a couple of things I have not been doing in the new workscope. The other gal is moving over to one of the divisions in Marketing in early November so they need someone in by mid-October.

Went over to chat with the supervisor about the jobscope and it seems interesting but I know there are quite a few other people interested in the position too.

Will just have to wait for the news on who had got the position in early October.

Pictures from Beijing

Finally received the photos from my colleague. I didn't bring my camera over this trip as I thought that we won't get any chance to go sightseeing... but at least there are some photos to show..hahaha... All the photos are not in order or by date, just me pulling them out from my drive...

Went to Wang Fu Jin for shopping on the first night... One of the alleys there, we pop into a shop that sells wooden spoons, bowls and a whole lot of stuff, Annie bought everything in pairs as she just got married last year so her new place still needs things in pairs...

Night scenes of Wang Fu Jin....

This is a actually something we saw when we were walking about trying to look for one of the shopping complex that the Chinese colleagues told us about... We got lost but we ended up exploring the streets around our hotel and saw this, Annie couldn't resist and took it. The Olympic mascots for China... they are so cute that I bought one of each from the souvenior shop...

First night dinner at Wang Fu Jin, a bad dinner for all of us because the food is really unappetitizing.... The soup smells funny to us but the guys insists that it is due to the lamb in it. Both of us girls decided not to drink it because the smell is too strong for us, ened up with the guys drinking most of it. (They told us the next morning that they both had mild stomach upset)

Food from one of the restaurant that we went to. Nearly everything is spicy, see that bowl with that fish head, it is actually a fish cooked in oil, that liquid you see is oil. But surprisingly, this dish is not too oily. In fact, it is a dish that our Chinese colleagues will recommend that us try at least once.

There is this place called Ah Fan Ti... this place is really fun as there is table top dancing after you finish your dinner but they closes early like about 10+ or so...the bellydancers are fantastic, 2 ladies and 1 guy, the guy's abs are absolutely flat, even the guys are admiring his flat tummy and he is so slim, no extra ounce of fat anywhere...

Bad weather on our last day in Beijing, lucky that it only happen on our last day...

More pics coming soon
