Happy New Year

Happy New Year Everyone....

In another couple of hours, it will be 2006. Here's to a brand new year and new wishes for everyone.

Don't have much to write about today. Will write more tomorrow...

Pamper myself today

Went out to pamper myself today...

Got to do my first facial after having Joelle... According to my beautician, my skin is not as glowing as before and I have slight eyebags. Told her that the eyebags are due to me being sleepless the night before. Don't know why but just can't fall asleep, kept checking on Joelle even when she is not making any noise. And when I finally fell asleep, it is time to feed her again.

Did my nails too, got some nail art to go along... pretty flowers on my toes.

When I got home, Amy told me that Joelle didn't take her nap the entire time I am not at home. Wonder what will happen when I go back to work. She will be awake the whole morning and afternoon till I get back from work. Then she will sleep soundly at night, not a bad thing as she makes a lot of noise when she sleeps.

It is 12.42am now, 31st December 2005. In a few hours, it will be 2006.

The beginning of a new year. Hopefully, things will get better in the new year. One of my wishes is that I don't need to report to the said supervisor anymore. Come to think of it, I have not check my office email since the 19th of this month. I better log in and take a look to see if there is any important emails that needs to be read.

Resolutions for the new year :
  • to loss the excess weight that I had gain this past year
  • save money, save money, save money... but I believe that this is rather difficult to achieve with a new baby
  • read the books that I had earmarked earlier this year.
  • go Bintan with the girls
  • go Bangkok for shopping
  • go Rendang (don't know if I had spelt it correctly) for the beautiful beach. (fell in love with the beach after seeing the movie that Sammi and Richie made there)
I think 6 resolutions is enough for one year. Shall look back during December 2006 to see how many have I achieve.

Pictures of Joelle

Went out on Christmas eve for service with James, then it was to Bedok for dinner before returning home.

On Christmas day, went over to Anne's mother's place for lunch. Brought Joelle with us. Her first outing to somewhere whereby she is not seeing a doctor. She is considered good as she didn't make too much of a fuss. Sleeping once she had finished her milk.

We walked over to Compass Point after the lunch to shop around and had dinner before we return home.

Picture taken when we are having dinner at Yoshinoya at Compass Point... Joelle sticking out her tongue...

Then another pix of her looking fierce...

Joelle with Amy, on the way to Anne's place... she is being cranky, wants people to carry her.

More in a later post. Blogger seems to be hanging up on me today. Can't load anymore pictures.

End of Confinement... Finally

Finally, the month long confinement had ended on Dec 16...

Went out for the first time on Dec 17, to get Joelle's birth cert and shopping at Junction 8. Reached home about 4 pm. Went for another hairwash before watching my new serial - The Charm Beneath. As usual, it is filled with the required twists and turns of a big family, plotting against each other. Hoping to finish it before next Friday.

On Sunday, meet the girls to for beauty therapy, all of us went for a hair treatment, both Anne and myself decide to cut our hair, need to get a new look after having straight hair for the past year and keeping it long. It is reaching the middle of my body already. Feel so much lighter after cutting it.

Back in office on Monday to give out the cake vouchers and submit all my medical, hospital, doctor's claims for 2005. Can't delay it as there is a cutoff time and the company won't accept the claims if they are late. Went shopping in town after that to get gifts for the dinner with my colleagues on the 22nd. It is a standing affair for the last few years. All of us will go for a good dinner after getting our 13th month bonus in December. A new rule was added last year, for the gift exchange, min. amount of the gift must be at least $50. Was searching high and low for a suitable gift yesterday because there is only one guy in our group and it is not fair that every year, whatever gift he receive, he can only pass it to his wife as he can't use it. Need to get some that is unisex so that no matter who receives it, can use it. I think next year, I will get gift vouchers, it is more practical and no matter if it is male or female, they can get whatever they want.

Need to look after my little one... till later....

All Alone...

Sigh... Guess what, James had got sick last Thursday and need to go back to his parents' place to rest till he is ok before he comes back. Which is most probably this coming Sunday.

Mum went to Malaysia yesterday so I am alone with the baby and my maid helping me out. Meals are ok as mum had taught her how to cook the dishes for me.

Joelle is drinking a lot now, I think I can't supply her with enough milk these days as she seems to be hungry even after drinking her milk not too long ago. May just need to switch to formular soon.

Baby Joelle

Quick update : Baby Joelle arrived on Nov 18th, 8.50am....

Had been spending the past two weeks sleeping and feeding Joelle. Didn't really get a chance to touch the computer at all. Her sleeping hours are very erratic. Likes to be awake during the early hours of the day... meaning during the hours of 4 to 6 am, when everyone is sleeping. During the day, she sleeps beautifully after every feed. It is only the nights that are bad, so I have to sleep according to her timing. Often it is sleeping till 10 am to even noon, depending on how long she had stayed awake just before dawn.

Will upload her picture when I get James to send me the pictures online...

Back to sleep soon... need to store up my energy for the night.
