Rainy Monday and a tailgating Honda car....

It started to rain just before I got into the car this morning. By the time I got to the CTE, the traffic is not moving that fast as all vehicles are driving cautiously due to the rain. The rain stopped once I exited the tunnel and hit AYE.

There was this Honda car who tailgated me, I only noticed it when I was checking my rear mirror that this car seems to have appeared out of nowhere and was really near my rear, I couldn't even see his headlights. But as I was driving within the speed limit, I decide not cave in to his pressure and let him pass. These are the drivers who just because their car's engine are better and faster, doesn't mean that you can be a bully on the road, tailgating people and pressuring other to give way to you. He finally couldn't tolerate me not giving way to him and move to the left just to cut in front of me, I am fine with that but do you know that the car in front of me wasn't driving that fast in the first place??? So what if you are driving a Honda car, SDD 8800L..... How fast do you think you can go on the expressway here?? You cut all the way to the right just to cut all the way to the left to exit out to Clementi Road, are you trying to show off that your car's got a more powerful engine and could cut through the lanes effortlessly??

A few of the cars actually pulled to the left and let him pass through but have you given a thought that you are actually encouraging him that his behaviour is correct, that if he keeps the pressure up, someone will just give way to him, have you thought of the fact that if you can't give way and need to brake all of a sudden, he would have hit your rear, because he is tailgating you and pressuring you to let him pass?

Men and their fast cars.....

Good Weekend....

Had a good weekend this week despite the fact that I had to pay a hefty fine for Jasper's library books on Saturday.

The knitted piece that I am doing for Jasper is coming along fine, just one more sleeve and I am done. Can fully concentrate on Cheryl's top by then.

Went for dinner with James' parents and Emily's family on Saturday. Learnt that my
mother-in-law went to Bangkok for a short trip again. 2nd time in the last 2 months she had been there.

Sunday, brought the kids to Safra Mt Faber for a swim. Joelle likes getting into the water and starts to kick about once she is seated in her baby float. The rain ended our swim early and we decided to go over to Jack's place to get my hair done. Met Mabel and Cindy over at Jack's place where we went to get our hair done. The two ladies are in a hurry as one needs to go rush off to see Cabaret and the other wants to go to the gym.

Popped over to Giant to get Joelle's stuff, she finishes her milk powder in less than a week or so.
Wandered over to Kiddy Palace and bought more stuff for her, a green bikini..... I do believe that she will look cute in that.

Got 2 sets of those robots for Cheryl and Jasper to fix up. Just for fun and to let them try their hands on how difficult it could be to fix those little pieces together to get a finished piece.

In all a pretty good weekend for me...

Busy with Training and in the midst of changing supervisor again...

It had been a while since I last updated but too busy with training and doing SOX requirements for my work area and I am getting a new supervisor.... all within these two months.

Thinking that end of July, it will be a slow week for me but nnnoooooo......

I have got training last week and this week during different days which means that I have to go to another building just for training.

Blogger won't let me load more than 1 pix at a time and so the Genting - Day 2 took so long to get out. Now, I can't find my folder in my thumbdrive..... I think James did something to it... (He may be reading this in a while...so Dear, what happen to that Genting trip folder??)

Went for a colleague's farewell lunch this afternoon. It had been a while since we had a farewell lunch or dinner. More of these events may be coming in the months to come.... just dreading when more of us resigns or gets retrenched which is the worse case scenerio.

More Indians colleagues were here for the training during last week and this week. All of them new employees. It doesn't pay to work your butt off for the company because the minute they decide to reduce cost, we are the first to go and all the work is being pushed to China and India. Please don't forget that we are the ones you train when you first set up the office here but after we get the business up and running for so many years, just to cut cost, we are getting redeploy or if we can't get redeployed, we are given retrenchment benefits and a goodbye....

My thoughts are all jumbled up as it is the end of another day and I am still at work. Waiting for 7pm so that I can drive my dad's weekend car home. Out of the house before the sunrise and back home way after the sunsets... I am so tired this morning that I am seriously think of just taking a day off just to sleep but there is the farewell lunch so I have to come to work... Everything had been planned already, don't want to have to make another appointment with the leaving colleague just for another lunch.

Ooohhhh... 6.30am already, another half an hour to go and I am out of the office....

More pictures when we were in the Outdoor Theme Park...

First stop.... Grand Prix driving.... Cheryl absolutely love it... James and Amy went driving around the track.

I stayed back to look after Joelle, she had fallen asleep in her stroller and Jasper can't participate due to his height...

After which we went to Dinosaurland...

Jasper taking photo with his favourite toy ... Dinosaur...

Cheryl and Jasper with the RIDE - Corkscrew in the background.... It is one of those scary rides that Cheryl had said that she WILL NOT try...

Cheryl and Amy with First World as their backdrop.....

The long, long wait to play Spinner... In the seats, waiting for take off....

And away they went...

After Spinner, it was on to the Bumboat, if I am not mistaken. Another long wait for the ride...

I was looking after Joelle as she had fallen asleep.

The fun begins with the boats bumming into each other...

On to the Ferris wheel ride and Casourol ride and Bumper Car....

Blogger does not allow me to post more than one pix at a time so I have decided to cut short this post and do another post...

Shi**y day at work

I absolutely hate this month's closing.....

It is not that it is difficult or whatnot but I am dependent on others to close my system and that someone just can't be bothered/don't want to/whatever his attitude is absolutely refuse to give me the report early.

I received an email from HQ commenting that one of my facilities are not closed as yet and a "gentle" reminder that it is due. Forwarded this email to the person in charge of giving me the report and his supervisor last night.

This morning I went to ask him when can I have the report and he told me before 3.30pm.

I waited till 3.45 before I went to ask him how is it going and he say "soon soon."

4.30pm, his reply is "It is coming along nicely.'

5.30pm, it was "In a moment."

WHAT THE HELL......

His timing is even more elastic than a Chinese wedding dinner.

It is only at 6.05pm that his email came in.

As usual, there is missing infomation in his file. Need to call him to clarify. NVM, ask him which part of the report I am suppose to look at as he included a lot of unnecessary details. Was told that I am suppose to look at the first and second part but in the end his information is WRONG again.

After I am done and ran a check to see if there are any errors, a hugh error is staring at my face... 1.8M error.

Call him again, double check on which part of the report is he capitalising this month. He started to get defensive and say that he don't know how my system works. Told him that he don't need to know how it works, just tell me which are the items that he is shifting from one account to the other and it turn out that it is actually the 2nd and 3d portion of the report.

DAMN DAMN DAMN...... can't you have just told me that in the first place????? I have told him time and again what I need but he just can't get it into his O*&#$&*^%

I have to go reverse all the entries that I have passed just to correct your stupid error.

Now I am still in the office cleaning up the mess that he had created and he had gone home already. I wonder what is it going to be like when he is back in India and I need to clarify things with him.

Looking on the bright side, perhaps this kind of stress will make me lose weigh faster...

Pictures from Genting Trip - Day 1...

Drove in on Wednesday night to JB with Mum as Kevin had got a new place and we didn't know the way there.

This is the front of his new place. Shophouse cum residence. He rented this place as it is much bigger than the other place he had previously. 3 bedrooms upstairs with a small family room for watching tv and 2 rooms on the first floor with a rather spacious living and dining. The kitchen is rather small though.

James took this... showing all the stuff that we are bringing up to Genting. The basket contains Joelle's stuff, her bottles, eating bowl, hot flask and some toys.

We started driving at about 9+ and finally reached there just before 3 in the afternoon.

Our room.... booked the family suite at the Theme Park Hotel which overlooks the Outdoor Theme Park. It is so much better than the room I got the last time at First World Hotel. Even though the last time I didn't get a suite but the rooms there are really small. The bathroom is even worse. But I am really happy with the room this time.

The view from our room... Can see the Outdoor Theme Park with all the people walking about.

We rest for a while and changed Joelle into warmer clothes before we left the room... This is how she looks like with her little cap with Amy carrying her...

Looking like a dumpling in her stroller....

Jasper carrying Joelle to take a pix before we went out.

We went to the arcade first and the kids played a few games there... Then we proceed to check out the Indoor Theme Park.

Since we will not be getting on any of the rides on the first day, we decided to go for a movie. Joelle in the cinema for her very first movie... watching the movie "Cars". Imagine the whole family going for a movie and only paying RM50... Not possible in Singapore.... Even though the movie is too loud for Joelle, at least she didn't cry, just hide her face against my body when I am carrying her and went to sleep.

Dinner at Pizza Hut after the movie.

Followed by ice cream for everyone.

Went to get coffee before returning back to our room for the night to watch football....
